The product

  • What was the concept behind development?

Since incorporation, we have been in the business of designing and developing automotive parts. Our goal is to be forerunners in bringing Japanese manufacturing to the world.
This is the first product we have developed in-house. We have used technological know-how recognized by large-scale corporations overseas, and aim to provide the precious, globally life-supporting resource that is water.

  • What is its utilization category?

    It is a water dispenser.
    It’s passed third-party performance tests.
*Running costs include the product manufacturer preferred retail price, the price of consumables, and electricity fees when used continuously (calculated at about 20.6 JPY per kilowatt).
*The above figures may increase depending on the installation location, climate or other factors. These figures are for reference only. Thank you for your understanding.

  • How much does it cost?

The preferred retail price is 162,000 JPY (tax included).

  • Tell me about its performance capacity.

Its generative capacity is about 4 liters per day.
The running costs are about 24 JPY per liter (96 JPY per day).

  • Is it patented?

There is a patent currently pending.

Water from the Izumi Seseragi

  • How much water will it make in about an hour?

The volume it generates will increase or decrease depending on surrounding conditions (temperature and humidity).
It will make an average of 4 liters per day from the amount dehumidified when room temperature is maintained at 32°C, and relative humidity at 60% (internal investigation).

  • What is the hardness of the water from the Izumi Seseragi?

Water from the Izumi Seseragi is ultra-soft, at about 6 mg/l.
This means that compared to conventional, regular water servers and soft mineral water, the hardness is relatively low.

  • What is hard water and soft water?

Water “hardness” is a value representing the volume of calcium and magnesium dissolved into a liter of water. According to World Health Organization (WHO) standards, water containing 60 mg/l or less is soft water, water containing between 60 and 120 mg/l is moderately hard, water containing between 120 and 180 mg/l is hard, and water of 180 mg/l is extremely hard.
(Reference: The Mineral Water Association of Japan website)
Although the values are not exact, domestic Japanese tap water (in Aichi prefecture the tap water is about 26 mg/l) and the majority of commercial mineral water is soft water.

  • What is your recommended method of use?

    Compatibility with drinks
We recommend you drink this water with green tea or coffee.
It will make the taste of Japanese green tea balance better, and make coffee taste milder, suppressing bitterness.
Black tea, however, requires some mineral content in the water, and is not recommended.

    Compatibility with food
It will make the taste of food like stews more pronounced, bringing out the umami flavored ingredients.
It will help umami flavored ingredients in dashi (a stock that is the basis of all Japanese food) start to dissolve, giving stews and similar a mellow finish.
You could also use it in rice dishes for fluffier rice.

*There will be some individual difference in both of these cases.

  • How many days do I have to drink the water?

Water quality will deteriorate over time (after generation, during storage).
Try and drink water stored in the tank by the following day.

  • Can I store the water in the refrigerator?

Yes, you are able to transfer the water to another container, and store it in the refrigerator.
To prevent unwanted bacteria breeding, make sure you wash the container in advance.
It will deteriorate the longer it’s stored, so drink as soon as possible.

  • Have there been any inspections or similar done on its suitability as drinking water?

It has passed the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare 26-point water quality inspection for Food Sanitation Act compliance.

  • Is it OK if I give this water to babies, children or pets?

    This is not a problem.
However, as the mineral content is extremely low in comparison to tap water, it will not be suitable in situations where use of tap water is specifically recommended.
